To me there is something completely hypnotic about the butterflyfish. They are the ultimate bridge between two worlds—carrying the delicate, airy beauty of a butterfly right into the depths of the ocean. When I sat down with the canvas I wanted to capture that sense of transformation, wrapping those bold, rhythmic stripes around a bright spectrum of color.

What I love most about this piece is the striking "false eye" near the tail. In nature, it’s a brilliant trick to misdirect danger, but in Feng Shui, it takes on a deeper symbolic meaning. It acts as a spiritual shield—giving you the foresight to see what’s coming from behind so you can keep moving forward with total peace of mind. I surrounded it with those textured, raised droplets to create a sense of clarity and focus, like filtering out the chaos of the world.
